
R.T. Kolbeinsson
Writer
R.T. Kolbeinsson(Reginn Tumi Kolbeinsson) is an Icelandic playwright and a graduate of the University of York with a degree in Theatre: Writing, Directing, and Performance. He has been writing for the stage for a decade, beginning his career in youth theatre in Iceland, where his early work saw performance at the National Theatre of Iceland.
Kolbeinsson has written several original plays, including The Bexhill Bookclub, A Helping Hand, and Selling Shade, each showcasing his interest in sharp character work, moral tension, and unexpected twists. As an author, he has expanded his storytelling into fiction with the horror novel The Coldest Blood.
He writes in both Icelandic and English, creating work that resonates across cultures while remaining grounded in his distinctive artistic voice.

Sam Armstrong
Theatre-maker
Sam Armstrong is a theatremaker from Bolton whose work centres around storytelling and community, using the voice and body to create meaning on stage. Sam’s research focuses on Space and Place, exploring how we use spaces and places when we make theatre in them, and how this interacts with the community and the stories we tell.
Sam is a swing dance teacher, and studied at the University of York in Theatre: writing, directing, and performance before their MA by research in Theatre. They are also the Community Engagement Director for the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.

Sophie Schulze
theatre and film practicioner
Born and raised in Germany, Sophie is academically trained in music, and has experience in production of music films and radio reports. She received her Bachelor’s degree in theatre and her MA by research in filmmaking from the University of York.
It is untold stories that Sophie is passionate about – wether in a historical or contemporary context. This summer, she is teaming up with local artists to bring Skald’s vision to Germany.

Inés ferrer
illustrator
Inés Ferrer is the illustrator behind the brand @duckandeasel. Originally from Mallorca, Spain, she graduated with a BA in art history from the University of Madrid. Due to her academic background, she likes to incorporate art references into her work, that otherwise revolves around the female form and concepts such as femininity, nature and queerness.
Her personal work and freelance projects have been presented at various events and exhibitions in Spain and the UK. In her collaboration with Skald, she has helped create the group’s branding and visually interpret their stories
